Tools / Apache HertzBeat Interview Questions
What is Apache HertzBeat?
Apache HertzBeat is an AI-powered, agentless, real-time observability platform under the Apache Software Foundation. It unifies metrics collection, log collection, centralized alerting, and notification into one system instead of requiring several tools stitched together.
The project began as an open-source release in the Dromara community in January 2022, entered the Apache Incubator on April 5, 2024, and graduated to a full Apache Top-Level Project in 2025. It ships under the Apache License 2.0.
Because it is agentless, HertzBeat pulls metrics directly from targets using protocols such as HTTP, JMX, SSH, SNMP, and JDBC instead of requiring software installed on every monitored host.
