Testing / Ranorex Interview questions
What is a Ranorex license server used for?
A Ranorex license server is used when a team shares a pool of floating licenses across multiple machines instead of activating a fixed license on each computer individually.
The server holds the purchased seats and hands one out to a Ranorex Studio instance or test-execution agent when it starts, then reclaims it when that session closes, so the same seat can serve different testers or CI machines at different times of day.
This setup is most valuable for teams running automated tests on several build agents or across time zones, since it avoids buying a dedicated license for every machine that only occasionally needs to run Ranorex.
