Database / BetterDB Interview questions
How does BetterDB Monitor's anomaly detection identify problems?
Anomaly detection (a Pro feature, free during early access) learns a baseline for your metrics automatically rather than requiring manual thresholds for each one.
It runs 20+ built-in detectors, correlates related events together, and produces plain-English diagnoses instead of a raw list of triggered thresholds – so an operator sees something closer to "memory growth is outpacing evictions since 14:02" than a bare metric spike.
Detected anomalies feed into capacity forecasting and can trigger the HMAC-signed webhooks for downstream alerting, so the same signal that shows up as a plain-English note in the dashboard can also page someone through Slack or PagerDuty without any extra wiring.
Being a Pro feature that's free during early access means it's fully available today without a paid license, though that could change once the feature graduates out of early access.
